One of the biggest dangers to the population of bears that live in the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia is the supply of salmon in their local river. Rivers are an important aspect of a bears well being.
It also gives them a chance to cool off in the summer and show off their bods before they have to put on their hibernation fat.
Causes of low population of salmon in the region include unnecessary and disused dams blocking river ways and salmon farming. Salmon farming is the process of manipulating the genetics of the fish through breeding and giving them steroids to produce salmon most suitable for profit. Unnatural salmon create algae and diseases that end up killing off the natural salmon in the rivers.
I don't have anything funny to say about these sick freaks.
Most of our salmon is caught up north near Alaska and Canada. Plenty of All Natural Salmon is caught by fishermen, but of course the added work makes things more pricey when you go to the store. I've had plenty of salmon and I can say that not only is all natural salmon keeping the rivers clean, but it also tastes a lot better.
